Attention Players and Members

It was disappointing to see only 9 players at training on Sunday; subsequently training was cancelled and the players were told to go home.

To avoid this from happening again this Sunday, can everyone please make sure they attend training at 9:15 on Sunday the 16th November.

Training will start at 9:15 so make sure you're ready to go at 9:15.

Thanks

First Team Match - 21st September 2008

Kingsway Olympic FC (0) V (3) International Calcio FC

Well its been a long season my friends and it was good to see both teams finish with a win. The first team played very well yesterday and the result was never in doubt. Two goals to Fred & one to the Masso power-house Michael was a great effort but I must say the defense was great in not conceding. I wish all the players the best for the future which ever club you play for, hopefully some of the things we learnt this year help you guys in the future. For me i will be hanging up the boots and starting a new challenge with the golf clubs and a cold beer. My final advice to the club is simple; its not easy for clubs to survive in the amateur competition for a number of reasons, but the most important thing is the players and a good organised coach because without these things there would be no club. See you all at the trophy night, lets get hammered.

Ciao

Reserves Team Match - 21st September 2008

Kingsway Olympic FC (3) V (5) International Calcio FC

Goal Scorers: G.Dorazio 4, D.Madaffari 1

This week we took on Kingsway, a win or a draw would keep us in third spot and a loss would put us in fourth but we were keen to finish the season on a high. We started the game very well moving the ball and giving Kingsway plenty of problems in their defence. The midfield looked good and the defence were well on top, then before you know it was three nil to Inter with goals to D.Madaffari and two to G.Dorazio at the break. In the second half we started where we left off with another goal to G.Dorazio to make it four nil and complete his hat-trick in a dominant display; at this stage we were well on top and Kingsway were struggling to contain us. G.Dorazio added yet another goal to secure the win, kingsway got three late goals but by then the game was well and truly over.

Well done boys, another outstanding performance we got tested towards the end but we stayed focused and got the win. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who played reserves this season, we had a slow start to the season but we finished strong only losing one game in the second round. The defence had a outstanding season only conceding 32 goals and the goalkeepers did very well. The midfield created plenty of opportunity for the strikers, and of course we cant forget the strikers who scored a lot of goals, everyone contributed in some way or another and that's the reason we finished third. Hopefully I will see all of you at the presentation night so we can have a few beers and celebrate a good season; by the way I will not be coaching next season so good luck in what ever you do next year.

Round  21 Reserves Team Match - 14th September 2008

International Calcio FC (5) V (2) Balga SC

Goal Scorers: G.Dorazio 2, K.Burton 1, D.Calabro 1, C.Spadaccini 1

This week we played Balga, a win would put us third on the table providing results went our way and a loss would leave us in fourth. We started the game very well moving the ball from end to end and creating good chances in front of goal then a under hit back pass from Balga put G.Dorazio threw on goals who he slotted the ball past the keeper; one nil to Inter. Balga had some possession but we dominated overall, later in the half a precise threw ball from A.Sukurkoski found K.Burton who side footed the ball past the keeper; two nil to Inter at the break.

We started the second half were we left off with another horror back-pass from Balga putting D.Calabro threw on goals and he finished very well; three nil to Inter. Balga could not contain us and didn't even look in the contest then a great individual effort from G.Dorazio; he took on a couple of defeners and finished with the side of his foot, a good goal four nil to Inter. Balga got two goals back but we weren't finished yet and completed the rout when a shot from D.Calabro was saved by the keeper only to be turned in by C.Spadaccini; 5-2 to Inter, a solid win.

Another very good win today boys, we played extremely well. It was a real team performance, I don't think any one played bad today. Next week it is all up for grabs, we have to win and it is as simple as that.

Round 20 Reserves Team Match - 7th September 2009

Fremantle Colo Colo (0) V (7) International Calcio FC

Goal Scorers: D.Madafarri 5, P.Anfuso 1, D.Calabro 1

This week we took on Freo Colo Colo, after a loss and a draw in the last two weeks a win was imperative for our top four aspirations. We started the game very well and had Freo on the back foot, we dominated possession and created a lot of chances. We took the lead early in the first half through a determined P.Anfuso who pushed aside a couple of defenders on the edge of the area and beat the advancing keeper; one nil to Inter. We extended our lead shortly after, a class finish in the 18 yard box from D.Madafarri; two nil at half time.

In the second half, we continued our good form and were rewarded with a header on the goal line from D.Calabro after a pin point cross from C.Ross; Freo Colo Colo were struggling to contain our clean and crisp passing and never looked like scoring. A masterclass performance from D.Madafarri added a further four goals, with one lobbing the keeper, another from the edge of the six yard box and one beating the keeper from close range after a good threw ball from N.Stoleski; a determined display of goal scoring making the keeper look very small. In the end Freo Colo Colo didn't trouble us at all.

A good performance boys, we played really well, our passing was very good and our finishing in front of goal was excellent. Well done to the defence I know it was boring but you did your job very well and a clean sheet is always good. Well done to Kieran in goals, you didn't have to do much but you did your job very well.

Round 19 First Team Match - 31st August 2008

Ballajura  (3)  V  (4) International Calcio FC

Goal Scorers  G.Cortopassi  3, B.Crevar 1

Inter took on a Ballajura side who needed only a point to be promoted into Division 1; Inter also needed maximum points in their bid to stay out of the relegation zone. Inter started the game well, controlling possession for the opening 15 minutes, only to be hit by a goal keeping effort and a defensive mistake to give Ballajura a 2 goal lead. Inter showed  their true fighting spirit still taking the game by the balls and were rewarded with a goal from veteran B.Crevar to bring Inter back into the game and later equalising through G.Cortopassi. After half time Inter played for the Division 2 lives, to Ballajura's credit they kept coming and scored to make it 3 - 2 in their favor; But G.Cortopassi was on a mission from hell and won the game for Inter with 2 more goals giving him a hat-trick & Inter 3 well deserved points. Full credit to all players, I must give a special mention to B.Ivanov who after a bad start turned it around pulling off some good saves, also D.Bloomer put on a show for the crowd with a great defensive display. Well Done Lads but remember training is important to stay sharp and we still need 5 points to be safe.

Round 19 Reserves Team Match - 31st August 2008

Ballajura  (1)  V  (1) International Calcio FC

Goal Scorers  G.Dorazio 1

This week we took on top of the table Ballajura in a must win game. After last weeks loss we were keen to win, we started the game hesitantly and Ballajura had most of the possession; we got better as the half went on and we created some good chances. Ballajura moved the ball well from end to end but the first chance of the game fell to Inter, a header from A.Sukuroski in the six yard box was judged offside, shortly after Ballajura opened the scoring with a thew ball that wasn't dealt with by the Inter defence; one nil to Ballajura at the break.

In the second half we new we had to play better then we did in the first and we scored five mins after the interval, a miss kick
clearance from P.Anfuso found D.Calabro on the right-hand side, he beat a couple of opponents and cut the ball across the 18 yard box for G.Dorazio to slot it home from six yards out; 1-1 a well deserved goal. Both teams created several chances as the half went on but neither team could snatch victory, a draw was probably a fair result.

Boys unlucky today, it was a tough game with both teams not giving a inch but a draw is no good to us. We have 3 games to go, that's 9 points, we need to win all 3 games to give ourselves every chance of finishing in the top four. We have 3 teams below us on the same points as us so we need to be at our best over the next few weeks; everyone is a required player.
